Earlier this month, students all across Arizona walked out in protest of the rising homophobic and transphobic attacks on LGBTQ+ youth coming from extreme Republicans.

What these students are fighting for shouldn’t even be up for debate and these lawmakers advocating for division and hate in our schools should be ashamed – because every kid deserves the basic ability to live as their authentic self and the right to feel safe in a learning environment.

Yet in the past few months, extreme Republican state legislators have introduced bill after bill that dehumanizes and villainizes LGBTQ+ youth. They’re even trying to ban books from classrooms just because they mention the existence of transgender teens.

Katie will always fight for the rights of LGBTQ+ Arizonans and stand up to anyone who tries to infringe upon those rights, and today, we’re asking you to stand with her and the students across Arizona who are holding extreme Republicans accountable for their discriminatory bills.
