Since 2011, map manipulation and voter suppression have given Wisconsin Republicans an “iron grip” on power in state government. Republicans have been all but guaranteed a comfortable majority in the state legislature – even when statewide Democratic candidates win more votes.
But those days could soon be coming to an end, team.
In a state where elections are often decided by less than a percentage point, voters elected a fair-minded justice to the state supreme court by a double-digit margin. This resounding victory could have huge implications for redistricting, voting rights, abortion access, the 2024 election, and more.
Grassroots supporters like you helped make this victory possible, team. So as long as the GOP’s plan for maintaining power depends on restricting access to the ballot box and undermining our democratic process, they SHOULD be worried – because we’re just getting started.
