In 2021, the Republican Party of Texas created a Local Government Committee to assist county parties in electing conservative candidates in often-overlooked “nonpartisan” school board and municipal elections. Democrats had been endorsing candidates in these races for years, and it was time for Republicans to fight back.

Since our initial involvement, we have seen tremendous success, flipping 2 ISDs to pro-parent majorities and winning critical seats in other local races from Dallas to Houston.
