Kevin McCarthy's MAGA caucus is trying to push through across-the-board cuts to veterans' benefits, nutrition assistance, education, law enforcement, environmental protection... In short, everything .

Everything except tax breaks for billionaires and corporations. McCarthy wouldn't dream of asking them to pay their fair share.

That's MAGA economics in a nutshell: Ignoring the struggles of working class families so long as hedge fund managers can upgrade their yachts.

Right now, we can count on never-backing-down fighters like Val to stop hurtful plans like this in their tracks, but McCarthy needs to flip just a handful of blue seats in 2024 to get damaging cuts like this passed easily.
