No one exemplifies the phenomenon quite like Lauren Boebert: The baseless, hollow argument Boebert is peddling - that Adam Frisch is being ‘controlled by the Radical Left’ and wants to ‘destroy America’ - is a loser. But that doesn’t mean it is harmless. America loses when our elected officials smear their opponents, and even their own constituents, for nothing beyond having the nerve to run against them. The “Radical Left” isn’t controlling Adam Frisch: the Radical Left is merely a bogeyman that exists only in the minds of people peddling fear to win elections. What Lauren Boebert should really be afraid of, is American democracy. Colorado voters don’t want to be represented by someone who incessantly makes wild, paranoid accusations. We don’t want to be represented by someone so short-sighted they would turn their office into a megaphone for venomous attacks on American voters. Lauren Boebert is right to be scared.
