Bad news, John. LGBTQ+ and abortion rights are under fire, and in 46 states, there are bills heading through the legislature to control our basic human rights.
Abortion bans and anti-LGBTQ bills overlap in more ways than one. The same Supreme Court cases that protect the right to choose also protect bodily autonomy and privacy, the pillars of LGBTQ+ rights. And more often than not, the same bigot who’s trying to repeal trans rights and criminalize drag shows is also going after abortion medication and proposing bans. Sometimes they’re doing it in the same bill!
Another BIG overlap? MOST Americans support pro-choice and pro-equality legislation! That’s why it’s more important than ever to keep electing LGBTQ+ leaders who will stand up for choice. Pitch in today to elect them all [[link removed]] .

Here are just some of the bills we're tracking:
Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill is going to be EXPANDED up through grade 12 . The current ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill bans public schools from speaking about sexual orientation at all. Ron DeSantis is one of many bigots pushing an extreme agenda on LGBTQ+ folks. He also just signed a horrific abortion ban, severely curtailing reproductive healthcare access in the South.
In Montana , H721 dramatically limits abortion procedures while playing right into anti-choice scare tactics to limit abortion and to take away bodily autonomy. They’re also debating anti-trans bills in the state Senate and silenced the state's first out trans lawmaker, Zooey Zephyr.
52 anti-equality bills are being tracked in Texas alone. SB15 threatens to ban trans kids from participating in collegiate sports. From ‘Don’t Say Gay’ to trans bathroom bans, and gender affirming care restrictions to drag bans, the bigots in Texas are on the wrong side of history.
We need more LGBTQ+ leaders to BLOCK these kinds of hateful legislation affecting millions of people across the country. Help us support and elect pro-choice LGBTQ+ candidates and stop these horrific bills from becoming law. Donate today [[link removed]] !
