But as the media has stopped showing coverage of these devastated regions and the rest of the world has moved on, funding for these critical efforts has slowed down. That’s why we need your support today:
Fatma was nine months pregnant and had a C-section scheduled the same morning of the earthquakes in Türkiye.
She survived and fled her home with nothing — but the hospital was severely damaged. Eventually, Fatma was brought to a different city by ambulance, where she gave birth.
Now, both Fatma and her baby are healthy. They’re staying in a tent settlement, and have received dignity and maternity kits and postpartum care from UNFPA.
Your donations have helped provide 64,000 dignity and maternity kits across Türkiye and Syria to survivors like Fatma.
