Republicans like Trump and DeSantis have a huge fundraising lead in the presidential race and President Biden needs our help to catch up.
It’s a moment that reminds me of Bobby Kennedy’s eulogy of his brother, President John F. Kennedy, at the Democratic convention.
Bobby Kennedy said that JFK would have never been able to accomplish any of what he did without the support of all of you — the Democratic Party.
He said that when we’re in it together, we can accomplish a great deal.
That is true in helping President Biden catch up to Republican fundraising so he can win this race.
That is true in helping President Biden continue to pass his agenda for working people in this country for four more years.
That is true in helping Democrats win the existential struggle for our democracy against extremist Republicans who are systematically attacking the very foundations of our free society.
No one person could do all of that alone. We all have a role to play.
