This Wednesday, Kevin McCarthy is planning to hold a vote on a package to indiscriminately slash federal spending―including a 22% cut for the Social Security Administration that would force office closures and longer wait times for benefits.
Here’s the thing: McCarthy doesn’t yet have the votes. And with your help, he never will.

Why does McCarthy think he can get away with it? Because he’s holding the economy hostage by forcing the United States into a job-killing default if Joe Biden doesn’t cave to McCarthy’s demands. But McCarthy’s Wall Street donors don’t want a default either. If we can keep Democrats in line, we can stop this.
