Friend,
When Iowans head out to caucus tonight, they'll have a lot on their mind.
Like many Americans, one of those things -- in fact, tied for the number ONE most important thing -- is climate change. In a poll this summer, 75% of likely Iowa caucusgoers said "recognition of climate change as the greatest threat to humanity" is a "must-have" for them to support a candidate.
Let me say: I wholeheartedly agree.
And this goes beyond party lines. Another poll released just this month found that 72% of Americans say they want to reduce the effects of climate change -- including a majority of Democrats, Independents, and Republicans.
No matter where you are tonight, we have to remind our friends and family what's really at stake in this election. We have to remind them there's an enormous amount of support for defeating the climate crisis. We have to remind them that climate change is a winning issue for Democrats.
Before tonight's first-in-the-nation presidential caucus in Iowa, remind your friends and family that bold climate action is a winning issue for Democrats by sharing this news on Facebook right now.
Very truly yours,
Jay
