My fellow Utahns,

It has been a pleasure of a lifetime to serve as the Republican Party Chair for the last 2 years. I have enjoyed almost every minute of this position. This is the last email you will see from me here at the UTGOP. You will be hearing from your new Chairman Robert Axon here soon. The party is in fantastic hands!

When it comes to elected officials I often hear, "Well they are not that bad." It's time we re-evaluate how we look at politics. Yes they may not be doing the wrong thing, but are they doing everything they can to preserve our freedom and the needs of our growing state? That is the question we must ask. GOOD GOVERNMENT BEGINS AND ENDS WITH YOU.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it....

Never forget, government derives its power from the consent of the governed. You have that right, you have that duty!

This is just the beginning. I will continue to fight for you here in this state. We must keep up the fight, for us, our children and their children. So much is at stake, there is no time to waste.
