John —
Tucker Carlson is out at Fox News, days after the company settled their defamation lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems for $787 million dollars.
Carlson’s own text messages revealed the extent to which he personally loathed Trump, but was willing to advance the Big Lie out of self-interest and to maintain the network’s ratings and profitability. In the end, it appears that may have cost him his job.
But let’s be clear: Carlson attacked Adam nearly every week on his program for years to undermine Adam’s credibility, and those attacks — from Carlson and Fox — aren’t going to stop now that they’ve parted ways.
Carlson attacked Adam for investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 election — interference by Vladimir Putin to help Trump defeat Hillary Clinton.
Carlson attacked Adam for investigating Trump’s attempt to extort Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy to smear Joe Biden, and for leading Trump’s Senate impeachment trial.
Carlson attacked Adam’s work on the January 6th Committee and his efforts there to advance truth and accountability.
Carlson became such an ally to MAGA Republicans that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy released the January 6th footage exclusively to him to share a warped narrative of that attack on our democracy with his right-wing audience.
We say good riddance — as Adam told Carlson last time he went on his program live in studio, maybe Tucker will have better luck at the Russian propaganda outfit RT.
Attacking Adam’s credibility has been central to Carlson and Fox News’ programming. Trump has made these attacks central to his campaign rallies. They will only get more ferocious in the race for 2024.
John, will you make a contribution of any amount to Adam’s campaign today? While Carlson is out, the Fox News Misinformation Machine will soon be firing on all cylinders — with more outrageous attacks against Adam that we need to be ready for.
