Dear John,

Last week, the Maryland State Senate and House of Delegates heard testimony on the True Freedom Act of 2020.

This critical legislation will allow courts to review and remove convictions from the records of human trafficking survivors for the crimes they were forced to commit by their traffickers.

Far too often, these convictions for low-level crimes are a barrier to employment, housing, and education — the very things needed to have a productive and fulfilling life after escaping the horrors of human trafficking.

HB 242 / SB 206 will help provide a small piece of relief that these brave survivors need to move on with their lives. Please take a minute to speak up for these victims.

Click the button below to contact your legislators and ask them to vote YES on HB 242/SB 206.

Thank you for your support of victims of human trafficking!
