The public hearing for Senate Joint Resolution 33 [[link removed]], just introduced last week, is tomorrow, April 25, at the Oregon State Capitol.

We need your help to testify against this reckless legislation.

SJR 33 seeks to amend the Oregon State Constitution to include abortion as a right. This would effectively enshrine state-funded abortion for any reason up to the moment of birth in our constitution. SJR 33 is clearly a political stunt by pro-abortion legislators to appease radical abortion activists.

We cannot stand by and let this happen. Attending the public hearing in person and testifying against SJR 33 is the best way to make our voices heard.

Here are the most important details to know:

If you want to testify, you must register at least 30 minutes before the hearing [[link removed]].The public hearing is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM tomorrow, April 25 [[link removed]]. Aim to arrive around 1:30 PM so you have time to park and walk to the Capitol.Currently, only the State Street entrance is open.You will have to go through security in order to get inside.The meeting is scheduled to be in Hearing Room C [[link removed]]. Also be sure to email members of the Senate Rules Committee [[link removed]] and strongly urge them to oppose SJR 33. If you flood their inboxes and show up at the public hearing, they’ll know they can’t just sneak abortion into the Oregon constitution.
