Becca is proving herself to be a leading progressive voice for Vermonters in Washington:

John,

Between writing and introducing her first bill, co-sponsoring key pieces of legislation, and giving passionate speeches on the House floor, Becca is proving herself to be a leading progressive voice for Vermonters in Washington:

Becca was chosen by her colleagues to introduce the motion to send the first nationwide transgender sports ban bill introduced by Republicans back to committee. This bill is a part of the nationwide effort to strip transgender Americans and children of their fundamental rights.

When Becca decided to run for Congress, she made expanding mental health care for Vermonters a key component of her platform.

Now, after making several visits to high schools around Vermont and speaking with students and staff, Becca has introduced her first bill – the Peer Education and Emergency Response for Mental Health Act – to invest in training teachers, school personnel, and students to assist their peers who may be facing mental health crises.

Becca joined Senators Bernie Sanders and Peter Welch in co-sponsoring the Nulhegan River and Paul Stream Wild and Scenic River Study Act of 2023, which seeks wild and scenic designation for the Northeast Kingdom’s Nulhegan River and Paul Stream. This bill is an important step towards protecting Vermont’s natural beauty for generations to come.

Becca has proven that she has our back as a progressive voice for Vermonters in Congress. Now, let’s make sure she knows that we have hers. Contribute $5, $10, or $27 to show your sustained support for Becca’s work and help her keep up the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, investments in mental health, and the protection of our environment in Congress today.
