Congressional Black Caucus in calling on Secretary of Transportation Pete
Buttigieg to condemn discriminatory traffic enforcement and develop
reforms to reduce racial inequities in traffic stops.

Generations of Black people have been unjustly subjected to discriminatory
traffic stops, and we need your voice to urge the Department of
Transportation to help end the status quo of inequitable enforcement.

Ayanna's letter to Secretary Buttigieg highlighted the disparate harm
traffic enforcement has on Black motorists, who are overrepresented in
traffic violations — despite lower rates of vehicle ownership. This status
quo is the product of racist policies, outdated infrastructure, and
limited oversight — and it's time for reform.

Secretary Buttigieg to condemn discriminatory traffic enforcement and keep
Black motorists safe while driving.

Thank you so much for taking action,

The A-Team
