John, I'm excited to share the latest from CRC with you: |
- Can Poynter retrain journalists to actually do journalism?
The left-leaning Democracy Fund and Big Tech companies are backing the Poynter Institute's PolitiFact, a fact-checking website, and MediaWise, a digital literacy project intended to teach people to be more critical consumers of online content. CRC's Anthony Vendetti investigates and finds that these efforts to "fight misinformation" have a dubious pedigree and "dark money" ties to the Arabella network here.
- What drives the anti-American Left?
The United States of America has arguably been the single most indispensable force for global good over at least the past century. Yet a distinct and longstanding vein of activism on the American Left--the anti-American Left--argues that American influence is a scourge to the rest of the world. CRC's Robert Stilson exposes the history and funding of the anti-American Left here.
- Will labor gut the fast food industry next?
Since organized labor began declining in the late 1950s, it has deployed numerous stratagems to reverse the decline. The latest campaign, led by the SEIU, targets "fast food" restaurants for unionization. The SEIU has spent at least $10 million on the campaign, which could divert up to $1.35 billion into union war chests. CRC's Michael Watson assesses the costs here.
- Why is NewsGuard in the classroom?
Randi Weingarten, president of American Federation of Teachers (AFT), praised the partnership between AFT and NewsGuard as a "game-changer for teachers and families." She's correct, but not in the way she asserts. Expect AFT and NewsGuard to continue fact-checking all dissent and labeling it as misinformation to further the indoctrination of the next generation. CRC's Kali Fontanilla reports here.

A Conversation with the New Jersey Constitutional Republicans
|
In a wide-ranging conversation, J.R. Carman of the New Jersey Constitutional Republicans and I discuss how CRC began as (and still is) an organization that investigates donor intent and corporate funding of left-wing organizations and causes.
Among many topics, we discuss left-wing billionaires who are funding efforts that are undermining government and society. These include Mark Zuckerberg’s “Zuck bucks,” which funded manipulation of the 2020 election, and the role of radical district attorneys funded by George Soros in facilitating a crime wave.
Billionaires Pierre Omidyar, Hansjörg Wyss, and Kathryn (and James) Murdock, and the “dark money” Arabella Advisors network receive dishonorable mention.

In this episode: National Public Radio is adamant: Nobody is going to make you eat the bugs. In fact, NPR says that believing governments and environmentalist activists want to make you eat the bugs is a conspiracy theory! Oh, and if you don't want to eat the bugs, you're little different than Europeans who would not eat indigenous American foods during the period of colonization.
Do the World Economic Forum and other major advocacy groups want to change what we eat?
Joining us to discuss all this is Jim Lakely, vice president and director of communications for the Heartland Institute. See also: -
