Hi friend,
As I ask for your support in this race, I believe it's important to be as transparent as possible about who I am and why I'm running for Congress. That's why I wanted to take a minute to tell you more about my story.
I've spent my career standing up for underserved communities and protecting our resources for generations to come.
I’ve always been passionate about conservation and the environment — one of my first jobs was as a National Park Ranger! I followed this passion by getting a law degree. As an environmental lawyer, I held polluters accountable, cleaned up waste sites, and contributed to the Supreme Court case that recognized the role greenhouse gases play in climate change.
It wasn’t until my daughter started school that I was inspired to run for office. I saw how Republican-backed cuts were making our public schools worse, and I had to take action.
I ran for State House hoping to make a difference in the futures of kids across Arizona. I fought to fully fund our schools, to make college more affordable, and to invest in technical programs. I stood up to extremists to protect our water supply and clean energy resources. And I worked across the aisle on issues like criminal justice reform.
Two years ago, I decided to run for Congress. I was proud of what I had done in the Arizona legislature — but I knew there was still so much more I could accomplish for Arizona families.
Then, just months before the election, the Supreme Court handed down the Dobbs decision and overturned nearly 50 years of abortion protections. To say I was furious would be an understatement.
On Election Day, our movement outperformed all expectations. We showed that southern Arizonans want leaders who will FIGHT for basic freedoms — not run away when the issues get tough.
I'm running again because I know that together, we can win this race. We can build a better Arizona by fighting the good fight in Congress. That's why I have to ask: will you become a Founding Donor to our campaign now?
