Blaze Media ([link removed]) (4/21/23) reports: "President Joe Biden has pledged to blow $1 billion on a foreign eco-socialist fund that redistributes Western wealth to so-called vulnerable countries such as China, an adversarial superpower with a GDP pushing $18 trillion. In his speech Thursday at the 2023 Major Economies Forum on Energy and Climate, Biden warned of the impact of bad weather on faraway nations, suggesting that 'as large economies and large emitters, we must step up and support these economies.' Despite economic troubles at home, Biden stressed that he was 'pleased' to announce that his administration 'is going to provide $1 billion to the Green Climate Fund, a fund that is ... critical in ways to help developing nations that they can’t do now.' The White House confirmed that $1 billion of Americans' money would be sent to a United Nations Green
Climate Fund, thereby bringing total U.S. contributions to the GCF to $2 billion. Biden indicated in 2021 he'd like to boost that number to $11 billion a year by 2024. According to the GCF, this latest American contribution represents 1/12th of its current portfolio, which redistributes Western wealth, 'delivering transformative climate action in 140 countries.'"

** "Good policy makes for good politics—something clearly forgotten by Biden, Shapiro, and others who seem intent on pursuing a plan that will destroy American energy production, cost consumers, and alienate the electorate."

(4/22/23) reports: "Canada’s second largest oil company Suncor Energy Inc. found 32 dead birds at one of its oil sands mining operations and now faces additional scrutiny from regulators and investors as it seeks to improve its corporate citizenship after a series of operational and environmental problems. Oil sands companies like Suncor use scarecrows as well as speaker systems that make cannon sounds to frighten ducks and loons and prevent them from landing on the toxic tailings ponds that result from processing ultra-heavy oil. Despite efforts to prevent birds from landing in the ponds, where they can become stuck and die, Suncor reported it found 32 birds, a muskrat and a vole. The Alberta Energy Regulator, which oversees energy development in Canada’s most oil-rich province, reported Saturday that it had an inspector on site to gather and review information. 'The inspector will ensure mitigation strategies are in place and actioned appropriately by Suncor,' the AER said in a release."
Huh? States with lots of coal and hydro have low electricity prices. States that are mandating renewables have high electricity prices. Shocking!

(4/23/23) reports: "Police body camera footage from an F-150 Lightning battery fire in a holding lot in Dearborn, Michigan, on Feb. 4 revealed dramatic images of three melted pickups, according to video footage released by police. Dearborn police and fire personnel responded to the incident, which involved three electric vehicles and resulted in a five-week production shutdown. No one was injured. The automaker worked with battery supplier SK On to identify the cause and resolution before restarting production. In March, after consulting with its supplier, Ford recalled 18 of the 2023 F-150 Lightning pickups. Video footage obtained by CNBC through a Michigan Freedom of Information Act request 'totaled about two hours of video, including overlapping footage, from 17 police bodycams and vehicle dashcams between 3:36 p.m. and 4:22 p.m. ET, according to time stamps on the bodycam videos,' CNBC said. Car battery fires burn hotter than other fires and require massive quantities of water or
special chemicals to extinguish. In this case, one Ford pickup caught fire, and the flames spread to the other two."
