A Message from Congresswoman Sherrill
Dear Friend,
Summer is just around the corner! I know that many of you are preparing and excited to travel once again. If you are planning to travel outside of the United States, it is important to make sure your passport is up-to-date well ahead of time.
Residents across NJ-11 have come to my office seeking assistance with passport renewals. And while we are always here to help, we also want to share some of the U.S. State Department’s best practices and helpful tips that you can follow to make the renewal process easier. Visit the State Department’s Passport Site for additional information. You can find the answers to some common questions you might have here.
If you do not have a passport, apply at least several months in advance of your trip to allow for processing time. Find more information here.
Please keep in mind that some countries require that your passport be valid at least six months beyond the dates of your trip. Some airlines will not allow you to board if this requirement is not met. Click here to check the requirements of the country you are traveling to.
If you are looking to renew your passport, that can be done by clicking here.
My team is here to help if you run into additional passport-related issues! Contact my office by calling 973-526-5668 or by submitting a request on my website.
Check out my Facebook, Instagram, and to stay up to date with the latest news and updates from my office.
Sincerely,
Mikie Sherrill
