I've personally experienced sticker shock at the grocery store,

A new No Kid Hungry study found that nearly 6 in 10 middle-income
families reported difficulties affording enough food. 1 in 5
middle-income families reported they have even had to skip meals to
make ends meet.
And for lower income families the situation is made even worse by the
end of pandemic-era food assistance.
