John,
We all know that injustice runs rampant throughout our criminal legal system. But, thanks to you, The Sentencing Project is building a powerful justice reform movement to counter it.
I hope you’ll take a moment to read our 2022 Annual Report to see the many ways that you’ve been a part of this critical work.
In 2022, we powered the movement for criminal legal reform by conducting incisive research, broadly sharing our findings, and supporting a network of over 76 national groups and 220 state-level organizations in the fight against mass incarceration.
This past year, we’ve worked with incarcerated partners in Michigan to help those serving extreme sentences get a second look, celebrated voting rights expansions in Massachusetts and Washington state, released groundbreaking research to counter harmful narratives around youth crime, and more.
From publishing reports on the national scope of felony disenfranchisement to the work of our grassroots-focused Racial Justice Fund, I hope you will read more about how you’ve helped us power the movement in our new 2022 annual report.
