It’s our third time organising Move for Survival, and this year, we wanted to make the event as inclusive as possible. You can now opt to run, swim, dance, or hike - the possibilities are endless! We are also encouraging our movers to fundraise to help support our work and amplify tribal voices around the world. As Survival International rejects money from governments to maintain absolute independence, you are the heart of the global movement for Indigenous and tribal peoples.
There’s still time to sign up and get training and fundraising! We've already received registrations from 6 continents. Movers will join each other in Malawi, New Zealand, France, Germany, and India. It's been so exciting to see the diversity of challenges you'll undertake, from running to horseback riding, dancing, spinning and playing an instrument.
In the lead-up to this exciting weekend, we're delighted to give you unique access to watch the inspiring film Cholitas, and invite you to an online Q&A with director Jaime Murciego on 16th May! Cholitas follows the story of 5 Indigenous Aymara women who set themselves the challenge of climbing Mount Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Americas. If you're interested in attending, please register here.
Move for Survival participants will also be invited to an exclusive yoga session to get you warmed up and ready for the weekend, so don't miss out and sign up to Move for Survival today!
If you have any questions about registration, fundraising or anything else, email us at [email protected].
In solidarity,
