All across the country, families are hurting and rights are being rolled back by far-right Republican leaders who fan the flames of the culture wars to distract from the fact that on health, wealth and economic outcomes, they are failing.

That’s why I started the Campaign for Democracy: because Democrats need to fight everywhere. We simply cannot give up on those Americans.

Look at what some of these Red State so-called “leaders” are focused on:

Tennessee

Gavin Newsom's tweet: 'Children are gunned down at their school. And Tennessee Republicans decide to take immediate action to protect... GUN MANUFACTURERS from mass shootings. You cannot make this stuff up.'

Arkansas

NPR's tweet: 'A new Arkansas law allows an anti-abortion monument at the state Capitol'

South Carolina

Senator Mazie Hirono's tweet: 'It’s no longer enough for MAGA Republicans to ban abortion, now they literally want to execute people who get abortions. They’re not “pro-life.” They’re obsessed with controlling our bodies, our rights, and our lives.'

Alabama

Gavin Newsom's tweet: 'Gun violence is now the leading cause of death for Alabama children. Alabama's response? Enacting a permitless carry law this year, making it legal to carry a handgun without a permit, background check, or safety training.'

Nebraska

Gavin Newsom's tweet: 'Over in Nebraska, the State Senate is busy combining the concepts of abortion, the Great Replacement theory, and misogyny -- stating that a 6 week abortion ban is necessary because white people are being replaced. 'We have not grown except those foreigners who have moved here or refugees who have been placed here… because we've killed 200,000 people.''

Florida

Gavin Newsom's tweet: 'The 'freedom' state strikes again. Florida has just EXPANDED the Don’t Say Gay law. Acknowledgment of LGBTQ people is banned for ALL K-12 STUDENTS. This is not about the kids. This is about erasing LGBTQ existence.'

Across the country, extremist Republicans are systematically attacking the very foundations of our free society.

They've silenced speech, fired teachers, kidnapped migrants, subjugated women and attacked the Special Olympics.

They've made it harder to vote and easier to buy assault weapons.

They've sold fear and panic when it comes to crime, but calm and indifference when the threat is greenhouse gasses destroying our planet.

It’s time for Democrats to go on offense. Everywhere. Because the real Republican agenda is deeply unpopular. Everywhere.
