The Chamber honored 98 front-line workers in Arlington's hospitality industry on Tuesday, January 28 at the 16th Annual Hospitality Awards at the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel. These prestigious awards are presented each year to hospitality workers who deliver outstanding customer service, exhibit excellence in their roles, and continuously exceed their job descriptions.

During the ceremony, Chamber President & CEO Kate Bates read inspiring testimonials of how each Hospitality Superstar Award winner has displayed integrity and dedication in his or her work, along with examples of how they have gone above and beyond their job requirements. The ceremony also honored 23 individuals with the Bob Klein Legendary Service Award for their 25 or more years of service in the Arlington hospitality industry. Congratulations to all of our award winners!

It is a pretty well-known fact that arts and culture is immensely beneficial to a wide range of community sectors in Arlington. For example, it has been proven that students who have arts included in their school curriculum score higher on SATs and tests, and achieve higher GPAs. Also our nation’s Veterans suffering from PTSD greatly benefit from art therapy to help them adapt to civilian life. The list of ways that the inclusion of arts and culture benefits peoples daily lives goes on and on.
