I’m proud of how far we’ve come — the progress we’ve made for our state — in the six years since I became governor.

We repealed the disastrous, cruel “Bathroom Bill” that discriminated against LGBTQ+ North Carolinians. We’ve taken substantive action to protect our climate. We’ve defended reproductive rights. We came to a bipartisan agreement to expand Medicaid.

But if a radical right-winger like Mark Robinson takes office, all that progress would be at risk.

John, Robinson has made his position clear: He’s only focused on far-right culture war issues. He would likely seek to ban abortion, support absurd and hurtful restrictions on what and how public school teachers are allowed to teach, and roll back our efforts to fight climate change.

He has said that men, not women, should be our leaders, that LGTBQ+ people are filth, that it’s questionable that the Holocaust occurred, and that climate change is a lie. That should be enough to disqualify him from office in our great state.

Not to mention his threatening and dangerous positions like: “I got them AR-15s in case the government gets too big for its britches.”

North Carolina was just rated the top state in the country for business. Under a Governor Robinson, companies would flee from his divisive culture wars — just like they did when HB2 passed.
