John, Each day, as the sun dips below the horizon, bees take their last trip from flower to hive. The pollen bees carry home at the end of the day is often laced with deadly pesticides that can poison a bee and its sisters. We're working to save the bees from pesticides and other threats, but we can't do it without you. In the last few hours of Earth Day, will you make a matched gift to help save the bees? Gifts up to $50,000 nationwide will be matched until midnight tonight. Thank you for all you do, Ellen Montgomery John, Would you notice if one of Earth's tiniest creatures disappeared? Bees are dying. And without them, our world would be a lot less colorful. Meadows typically filled with wildflowers wouldn't be as vibrant. Our dinner plates wouldn't be as full. The sound of springtime just wouldn't be the same without the light buzzing of the bees. We can't let pollinators be wiped off the face of the planet forever. We have to save the bees. Pesticides, habitat loss and climate change are causing bee populations to collapse and disappear entirely, and we need your help to confront these problems head-on.1 Donate to our Earth Day 2023 Drive today to help save the bees before they disappear forever. We can thank many bees for honey, of course, and bees are essential to so much of the beauty of our planet. They pollinate flowers in every color of the rainbow and they make our food tastier, from summer squash to strawberries. But hardworking bees aren't only bringing pollen back to the hive -- they also bring a toxic dose of deadly pesticides with them. Tiny bees can hardly avoid the acres of land coated with pesticides that can kill. And bees will keep dying unless we can move away from bee-killing pesticides once and for all. This Earth Day, we need to build a buzz for the bees. Are you with us? Yes, I'll donate today and my gift will have twice the impact for the bees. Thank you for being part of the Environment Colorado hive, John. Ellen Montgomery Your donation will be used to support all of our campaigns to protect the environment, from saving the bees and protecting public lands, to standing up for clean water and fighting climate change. None of our work would be possible without supporters like you. Environment Colorado may transfer up to $50 per dues-paying member per year into the Environment Colorado Small Donor Committee. |
