Happy Earth Day, John!
Today is an opportunity for all of us to reflect on ways we can protect our environment and create a more sustainable future for our country and the very planet we live on.
Here in Delaware especially, we are blessed with lands, waterways, and wildlife that continue to be a source of pride, including our forests, coastal ecosystems, and the Chesapeake Bay watershed. I believe climate change is one of the biggest threats facing our communities and our natural resources, and we must take big steps if we're going to preserve our environment.
I am proud to continue working in partnership with the Biden administration to combat climate change and safeguard our natural resources for the generations to come.
Last year, we passed the Inflation Reduction Act, one of the biggest investments toward finding solutions for the climate crisis and creating millions of new jobs in renewable energy in the process. This year, I've been working on initiatives to upgrade infrastructure for clean drinking water and support hydrogen technologies to reduce emissions.
I am ready to continue this vital work, and I hope I can count on your support as we move ahead to combat the climate crisis.
Thank you,
Chris
