Hey everyone – Happy Earth Day! Today, we are all recommitting ourselves to
fight against the climate crisis.

I strongly believe in protecting the Earth and our environment. In California,
we are seeing too many wildfires, heat waves, droughts, and severe storms
devastate our state and our region. Across the nation, warmer states are
experiencing record cold, and colder states are experiencing record highs. This
is simply not sustainable, and we need to do all that we can to slow down the
damage.

Over my time in Congress, I have committed myself to tackling climate change
head-on. As a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and Co-Chair
of the House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC), I have made
it a top priority to bring clean energy technology to Sacramento, transform the
city into a global leader in the sector, and help our region transition to
clean energy sources.

Not only do I believe in protecting the environment, but I believe we should
also create a clean energy economy, which not only helps our environment by
reducing our carbon footprint, but also brings good paying jobs to Sacramentans
and Americans everywhere.

As I continue my work in Congress, I promise to continue being a champion for
clean energy, and for protecting our environment. This Earth Day, let us all
recommit ourselves to fighting back against climate change.
