Jack — The GOP is continuing to attack voting rights across the Nation. From restrictive bills, movements to hand count ballots and attempts to reinstate felony disenfranchisement practices, Republicans will do anything to make it harder for people's voices to be heard.
And they are dead set against D.C. becoming a state.
Did you know: The District of Columbia is home to nearly as many Americans (671,803) as the States of Vermont, Wyoming, Alaska or North Dakota — and yet D.C. residents have no (voting) Congressional representation!
Why?
Because the Congressional status quo favors Republicans — and adding D.C. as a state would weaken their grip on Federal power.
