For the last 20 years, Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas has received luxury vacations from shady conservative real estate magnate — and Nazi memorabilia collector — Harlan Crow.

The total cost of these vacations, yacht trips, and private jet escapades spans multi-millions of dollars, yet they’re nowhere to be found on any of Justice Thomas’ financial disclosures.

That fact in and of itself reeks of corruption. It’s even more troubling when you factor in the guests who joined the men on these extravagant jaunts around the globe: corporate executives from Verizon and PricewaterhouseCoopers (Republican mega-donors) and one of the leaders of the American Enterprise Institute, a business-focused conservative think tank out of D.C..

Friend, propriety should be priority number one for public servants. And at the end of the day, a justice serving on our nation’s highest (and theoretically, most nonpartisan) court has zero business accepting extravagant gifts from any big party donor.

Now, activists and elected officials alike are calling for a full on investigation into the nature of the gifts Justice Thomas has been raking in — and we want to make sure they’ve got public support on their side.
