Earth Day is a day to celebrate our planet and recommit ourselves to preserving its natural resources and wildlife habitats.
From the Olympics to the Puget Sound to the Cascades to our spectacular rivers, forests, and coastlines, the incredible natural beauty and untamed wilderness of our state is a gift we value. And one we have an obligation to steward for future generations of Washingtonians.
But we know the growing climate crisis poses a direct threat to our planet and the landscape we treasure. Which is why I need committed climate champions on my team.
If protecting our environment and halting climate change is a top issue for you, please pitch in now to become one of our Cantwell Climate Champions → [[link removed]]
I’m proud to have worked hard in the Senate to ensure the Land and Water Conservation Fund is permanent and fully funded. Preserving irreplaceable ecosystems like the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Bristol Bay, and the Tongass National Forest. And being one of the key architects of the Inflation Reduction Act, by far the largest investment in renewable energy and electric cars in our nation's history, which will set us on a pathway to drastically slash carbon pollution.
I’m hopeful for the future. Together we will go head-to-head against corporate polluters, expand access to public lands, and stand up for the special natural places that made us fall in love with Washington state.
