Overpopulation poses a direct threat to the natural world. In the past dozen years alone, we added a stunning one billion people to our already overcrowded planet.

To be candid, most environmental organizations sidestep the population issue—as do most media outlets. To borrow a phrase, it seems like overpopulation is “an inconvenient truth.”

At Population Connection, we don’t shy away from the facts — or the figures. We educate millions of young people about population challenges. We advocate for practical approaches that enable people to choose smaller families.
