If you’ve ever been to the U.S. Virgin Islands, or have the privilege of living here, you know how beautiful the shores of Saint Croix, Saint John, and Saint Thomas are.
But we have to keep it that way by fighting climate change and protecting our communities from natural disasters like hurricanes and tropical storms.
That’s why I personally met with the EPA Administrator to discuss the historic investments we can make in clean energy, clean air, and funding to support our water systems.
I believe we can be an example to the world of how islands like ours can be a part of the global climate change solution. These efforts will also create new jobs, make us more energy secure and independent, and protect us from natural disasters.
