Senator Sheldon Whitehouse made news during our national democracy briefing by announcing that the powerful committee he chairs will hold ongoing hearings into Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and Supreme Court corruption.

He also took to the Senate floor to tell colleagues that the Supreme Court under John Roberts "has squandered the public’s confidence" with a "noxious cocktail of creepy right-wing billionaires, phony front groups, large sums of money, and secrecy."
