Happy Earth Day, Team!

As we celebrate Earth Week, I want to share some exciting news with you
about the progress we're making in building a greener future for New York.

I'm proud to announce that over the last six months, we have completed
eight large-scale renewable energy projects, totaling 418 megawatts of
renewable energy. That's enough clean energy to power more than 150,000
homes and reduce nearly 600,000 tons of carbon emissions annually,
equivalent to taking almost 120,000 cars off the road each year.

These projects have supported the creation of nearly 1,800 jobs and
spurred nearly $800 million in private investment across the state while
contributing nearly $70 million to their host communities through school,
town, and county payments. This is significant progress towards our goal
of 70 percent of the state's electricity coming from renewable energy by
2030.

But we're not stopping there. During this Earth Week, we're also investing
in water infrastructure and launching a statewide Bond Act listening tour
to help communities leverage this funding and strengthen their resilience.

The New York Bond Act is a historic opportunity to build a brighter and
greener future for New York. With this act, we can:

— Protect clean drinking water for millions of New Yorkers
— Expand renewable energy and increase energy efficiency in public
buildings
— Improve public health with clean school buses, more street trees, and
lead-free drinking water
— Upgrade roads, bridges, and stormwater infrastructure across the state
— Conserve wildlife habitats, protect local farms, and increase access to
parks
— Support 84,000 local, family-sustaining jobs
