John,

I want to wish you a Happy Earth Day. Today is a reminder of how precious our planet is and how we are running out of time to stop the deadly impact of climate change.

We have the obligation to our planet and future generations to tackle the climate crisis head-on. That's why I was proud to support the Inflation Reduction Act, the largest-ever investment in climate action in American history.

But now, House Republicans have passed legislation that's being called the "Polluters Over People Act." This sham proposal gives enormous handouts to Big Oil and guts critical environmental protections. It would be a devastating blow to our efforts to save our planet.

We can't let extremists take our country back in the fight against climate change. Take action this Earth Day, and please sign my petition to reject the House Republicans' "Polluters Over People Act" → [link removed]

I'm proud Democrats are leading the efforts to address climate change with bold solutions. The Inflation Reduction Act will work to reduce climate pollution by 40% (!!!!!), provide tens of billions in energy investment and production tax credits, and create millions of jobs and significant economic growth in the clean energy sector.

We already know that the changing climate will impact our lives in the coming decades, but there is still time to set America on a path toward a greener, safer, and healthier future.

This Earth Day, please join me in rejecting House Republicans' "Polluters Over People Act" by signing your name next to mine.
