Friend –

While my team and I are out celebrating Earth Day, I can’t help but think of how much work we still need to do alongside our allies in Harrisburg to clean up waterways across Pennsylvania, especially after the environmental disasters the past few months.

Did you know that, just in the Philadelphia metro area alone, large industrial facilities have released 1.6 million pounds of toxins into the air and 6.8 million pounds into the water in the past five years ? These smaller-scale chemical spills don’t get coverage like the East Palestine train derailment and Bristol Marsh chemical spill did, but happen more often than you’d think and - and far more often than they should.

Friend, will you double your impact on Pennsylvania’s environment this Earth Day and pitch in with a donation of $10, $25, or more so that we can strengthen the pro-environment voice in Harrisburg? [link removed]

Thanks for all you do for our movement,

Friend –

We have a problem: the oil and gas industry has gone unchecked for far too long and these recent train derailments and chemical spills are just further proof of their negligence.

Environmental disasters like these happen more often than we realize, and they disproportionately affect Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color and low-wealth communities who are already at the greatest risk of exposure to pollution. These emergencies are becoming a constant threat to Pennsylvania communities, particularly those with less access to solutions.

But every year, the fossil fuel industry spends millions of dollars in Harrisburg lobbying, electing their allies, and even on high-priced PR firms to make dirty fuels sound clean. Pennsylvanians can’t afford to have polluters’ profits prioritized over their health.

That’s why we’re joining allies at all levels to protect Pennsylvanians' interests instead of polluters’. We’re fighting alongside state and federal lawmakers, lobbyists, and activists every day to protect communities like yours and ensure that our air and water will be clean for generations to come. Friend, can you chip in $10, $25, or more today to help us secure more protections for Pennsylvania’s environment? [link removed]

With every dollar you donate, we’re able to grow the power of the environmental movement. We are educating and mobilizing folks across the Commonwealth to take a stand with our allies in the Shapiro administration, the state legislature, Washington D.C., and on the ground!

Pennsylvanians are clear. We need clean energy jobs with livable wages. We need clean air and water for our children to grow up healthy. We need pro-environment voices in Harrisburg to enact strong environmental laws and effectively implement Federal climate funds.

To move us toward a cleaner, greener Pennsylvania, we’re going to need your support. That means full-throttle on-the-ground mobilization, education and outreach, and collaboration with our allies at all levels.

Please, friend, pitch in with a donation of $10, $25, or more so that we can strengthen the pro-environment voice in Harrisburg and fight for bipartisan victories that will protect every Pennsylvanian now and for generations to come: [link removed]

We cannot allow lawmakers to overlook our communities anymore. It’s time to stop fossil fuel giveaways and put Pennyslvanians’ safety first.

With you every step of the way,
