Dear John,
This weekend, on Saturday 22 April, is Earth Day. Population Matters is
marking the occasion with the official launch of our Spring Action Month
[3]!
During this special month, we want as many of our supporters as possible to
get involved with our campaigns [4], to let us know how you're taking
action to reduce your impact on the planet, or to sign up [5] for a new
fundraising challenge.
As part of our HUMANATURE [6] campaign, we'd love you to act now for
insects. Sow native wildflowers, create a deadwood habitat, and say no to
pesticides because insect populations matter.
ACT NOW FOR INSECTS [7]
Let your lawn grow wild in #NoMowMay and encourage insect populations to
flourish, including those crucial pollinators. Send us a photo of your
lawn and we may feature it on our website.
JOIN US IN #NOMOWMAY [8]
Spring challenge fundraisers include supporters Mike Walker, Dom Scruton,
and John Waldron who have taken on sponsored sporty challenges from
running marathons to a family-friendly fell walk.
MEET OUR SPRING FUNDRAISERS [9]
You can download more spring fundraising ideas [10], in which we hope
there is something for everyone!
If you'd like to set up a fundraising challenge, more information is
available on our fundraising webpage [11], including our Fundraising
Toolkit [12] to guide you on your journey.
However you choose to get involved, we'd love to hear from you! Tell us
your plans, send us photos, and we may share your spring activity on our
website or social media channels.
Let's make this spring action-packed for population!
With very best wishes,
Anthony Howarth
