The Supreme Court issued a stay in the medication abortion case. Mifepristone, which accounts for more than half of all abortions in the United States, will remain on the market – at least for now. This is good news.

But the legal fight over mifepristone is not yet over. Litigation will continue, and it appears likely that the Supreme Court will weigh in again.

Access to mifepristone should have never been in jeopardy in the first place. The rights of millions of Americans should not change at the whim of a few right-wing extremists on the Court.
