Team — We wanted to make sure you saw the latest on the Texas case on abortion medication:
The Supreme Court has decided to continue the stay on the potential ban on mifepristone while the full appeal is pending.
This is just a band-aid solution to a much bigger problem. The only way we can stop this, and any future attempts from anti-choice groups to take away our fundamental rights, is to pass federal protections once and for all.
That’s why I’m hoping you’ll sign on as a citizen co-sponsor of the Women’s Health Protection Act, my legislation to protect reproductive rights. It’s high time for the Senate to pass this bill.
The fight for our fundamental rights will not stop until everyone, regardless of where they live, has safe and practical access to abortion care.
Thank you for standing with me,
Tammy

Subject: Good and bad news
Team — Since Roe v. Wade was overturned last year, it feels like we’ve been on a rollercoaster of abortion access being repealed and expanded from state to state across the country. I wanted to share some recent news about reproductive rights in our country, and how I’m using my voice in the Senate to protect abortion access.
The bad news: Last week a federal judge in Texas severely restricted access to abortion medication — ignoring science and siding with far-right extremist stances. Just yesterday, Florida passed an incredibly restrictive six-week abortion ban.
In so many states, women are losing the ability to make choices over their own bodies and health. But even during these dark moments, there are glimmers of hope:
The good news: A little over a week ago, Wisconsin elected Janet Protasiewicz, ending the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s conservative majority. We are hopeful that this big win will get us one step closer to overturning the horribly outdated 1849 law on abortion our state is held to.
Across the country, more and more people are supporting pro-choice candidates and policies. I’m hearing it on the campaign trail, and I’m putting it into action:
The next step: While reproductive rights are being stripped from women nationwide, it’s high time we pass federal protections for abortion. That is why I reintroduced the Women’s Health Protection Act in the Senate, and I’m doing everything I can to get this bill onto President Biden’s desk.
I’ve said this once and I'll say it again: every American, no matter their zip code, should be able to make decisions about their bodies, healthcare, and future. Now, I'm hoping you’ll stand beside me and support me in the fight ahead.
Please, add your name to my petition for the rapid passage of the Women’s Health Protection Act in the Senate.
I’m working day and night to achieve the progress Americans deserve, including the fight to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act.
It’s time we lead the charge to restore abortion access in America once and for all.
Thank you for supporting our movement every step of the way.
