Just now, the Supreme Court has temporarily stopped the lower courts' attempts to gut access to the FDA-approved drug Mifepristone.This means Mifepristone will remain available for medication abortions while we wait for the case to be heard in the lower court.

While today’s ruling is a welcome respite from a further expansion of the abortion access crisis, we are clear that the nightmare is still not over. Both because this case isn't over and existing state abortion bans are still wreaking havoc in our lives. Our democratic systems are not functioning as they are supposed to when we come this close to losing a drug that is critical to abortion and miscarriage care, all due to misinformation regurgitated by Trump-nominated judges. Judges should not be deciding cases based on their personal extremist beliefs.

We know the public is exhausted by these endless court decisions that could take away our health care at a moment’s notice. We will never stop fighting for what’s right and a future where we, not the courts or anti-abortion extremists, can control our own bodies, lives, and futures.
