As we prepare to celebrate Earth Day tomorrow, 70 species, including the Golden-winged Warbler and Rufous Hummingbird, have lost 50% or more of their populations in the past 50 years—and are on track to lose another half or more over the next decades. But because birds have been telling us for quite some time that we must take climate action—and because we have listened—we’re already protecting vulnerable birds in every landscape where we work.
With the support of generous people like you, we’re restoring and improving the resilience of important landscapes; successfully advocating for climate legislation at the state and federal levels; transforming communities into places where birds flourish; and securing space, clean air, and clean water that birds and people need to live and thrive.
But we can—and must—do more while there’s still time. Please, be one of 97 supporters we’re counting on to join us with a monthly donation this Earth Day while, thanks to a group of generous donors, you’ll help unlock $15,000 more for birds and their habitats.
Sincerely,
National Audubon Society |
