It’s the team at Josh Riley’s campaign headquarters. We know we’ve been emailing you a lot since Josh announced his campaign for Congress last week, and you deserve an explanation why.

So here are seven reasons why it’s so critical that we start this campaign for NY-19 on the strongest foot possible — and then we hope you’ll contribute $7 or more today.

1. 2022 margin of difference. In 2022, this race was decided by less than two points, which was fewer than 4,500 votes! It was one of the closest races in America last cycle, and it will be again in 2024.


2. 2024 forecast. Now, the Cook Political Report and Sabato’s Crystal Ball are already calling NY-19 a tossup, which means all eyes are on this campaign.


3. National Democrats. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has named NY-19 one of its initial 33 targets for 2024, making this district a top national priority.


4. Investment. House Majority PAC announced it is going to spend a record $45 million in New York for 2024, and we need to make sure that our district is a top priority for it. The stronger campaign we build now, the stronger we’ll be in the long run.


5. National Republicans. Republicans know this race won’t be easy to win. The National Republican Congressional Committee is already attacking us, calling Josh a “notorious D.C. swamp creature” and peddling the same tired lies about his record. They’ll do whatever they can to hold onto their razor-thin House majority, there is no bar too low.


6. Jim Jordan. Molinaro’s first campaign report showed he raised nearly $640,000 and that he’s taking money from Jim Jordan, a co-founder of the Freedom Caucus. That’s the same group that is trying to slash Social Security and Medicare!


7. The Koch Brothers. Think Jim Jordan was bad? Molinaro took a fat check from Koch Industries, Inc. PAC — a petroleum conglomerate that is going to push him to vote recklessly when it comes to our environment.

John, as you can see, the stakes here are high and all eyes are glued upon our district here in Upstate New York.
