** Kansas Presidential Primary Date Set for March 19, 2023
------------------------------------------------------------
Kansans will participate in a Presidential Primary on March 19, 2023. The KSGOP was supportive of this legislation, and KSGOP Chairman Mike Brown would like to thank Kansas Speaker of the House Dan Hawkins, Kansas House Majority Leader Chris Croft, Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson, Kansas Senate Majority Leader Larry Alley, and Kansas Republican Second Congressional District Chairman Eric Rucker for their leadership on this incredible effort and outcome.
Because Kansas Republicans will no longer be putting on a labor-intensive party-driven caucus, Republicans across Kansas will now focus on campaigning and electing Republicans.
“The Kansas Republican Party looks forward to a much higher participation rate in the primary process. We welcome and encourage Presidential candidates to visit Kansas voters right here in the heartland to earn their votes,” said KSGOP Chairman Brown. “This puts Kansas back in the national political spotlight and enfranchises voters by making voting locations closer to them and easier to access. That’s a big win for all of us.”
** Alex Johnson nominated and selected for RNC’s Rising Stars program
------------------------------------------------------------
Alex Johnson, a political science student at Fort Hays State University, was nominated by KSGOP Chairman Mike Brown and selected by the Republican National Committee as a new member of the Rising Star program.
As a result of his impressive application and selection, Alex will attend special training in Washington, DC, in early May 2023, where the RNC will recognize Rising Star leaders from across America.
“Alex Johnson is an exceptional young man with a bright future in front of him. I'm proud he earned his way into the Rising Stars program and look forward to watching the great things Alex will accomplish in the future,” said Chairman Brown. “Congratulations to Alex, and we all wish him the best and look forward to hearing about his many experiences soon.”

** KSGOP Southwest Kansas Tour
------------------------------------------------------------
KSGOP Chairman Mike Brown will tour Southwest Kansas with scheduled appointments and presentations from Dodge City to Liberal.
The tour is an effort to raise the visibility of KSGOP across Kansas, create excitement in recruiting candidates for school boards and city council races later this year, and fundraise for KSGOP, including touting the “1776 Club”.
“I’m looking forward to seeing longtime friends and meeting new people in beautiful Southwest Kansas,” said Chairman Brown. “I love every part of our state. This part of our state is critical to our collective success as Kansans and Republicans. It's going to be a great tour.”
** 1776 Club Membership Numbers Skyrocket
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
With over 75 new members of the “1776 Club,” KSGOP is averaging over ten new daily signups. This success is key to supporting candidates across Kansas with the resources it takes to win. These funds allow your state party to engage heavily this year in local elections and create the team and gameplan we need in the higher profile races in 2024.
