Ohio is currently trying to target both direct Democracy and choice
by changing the law on the required percentage for the passage of
ballot initiatives (H. J. R. 1.) Currently, the passage of an
initiative requires 50% of the vote, but the GOP wants to change that
to 60%. 

This is to prepare for an initiative that would protect reproductive
choice in the state. Much like other states have attempted to pass
since the Dobbs decision, pro-choice groups in Ohio are looking to
enshrine reproductive rights into law. 

In hearing testimony in support of the Resolution, a "pro-life"
activist argued in support of forcing ten-year-olds to give birth,
even in the case of rape. 

The shift of the GOP to the fringe right and religious zealotry is
impacting our freedoms.
Our choices.
Our lives.

We must vote them out.
