I will continue to fight for your reproductive freedoms.

You may have seen a Texas judge ruled to suspend the FDA’s approval of mifepristone—a medication abortion drug. This politically motivated ruling virtually banned the pills across the country—even where abortion is legal.

There has been a lot of back and forth, and now the case has gone all the way up to the Supreme Court. Right now, medication abortion is still accessible in New Hampshire and across the country.

I'm fighting to ensure that scientists and physicians decide what is safe and effective, not politically motivated judges or politicians. I will continue to defend the FDA’s authority to approve medication abortion and safeguard access to reproductive health care for all.

Granite Staters believe in less government interference in our private lives — including abortion access and reproductive freedom. 

Earlier this week, I joined local elected leaders and other advocates in Concord to defend those rights. There are countless reasons someone may seek medication abortion, from sexual assault to medical history. These reasons are complex, personal, and none of the government's business.

Let kids be kids.

This week, the Republican majority pushed through a dangerous bill to ban transgender and intersex students from playing youth sports. The United States House of Representatives should be focused on tackling the biggest issues facing our country – not ostracizing young kids and inserting the federal government into our kids’ little league and soccer teams.

I voted no on this backward bill. We need to govern with empathy, not hate.

I’m fighting to make navigating the health care system easier.

Understanding your health care benefits should not require an advanced medical degree – yet, millions of Americans are left in the dark about what they are paying for and what their insurance plan covers. 

This week, I was proud to introduce legislation to shine a light on how drugs are covered and paid for and to ensure transparency throughout the health system.

Patients across the country deserve transparency about what they pay for prescription drugs.

Our state thrives when we invest in our rural communities.

Also, this week during an Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee hearing, I urged my colleagues to support our community health centers to help lower health care costs across the board and improve access to preventive care.

Investing in community health centers is a win-win for our economy and our country’s health and well-being.

I am proud to fight to expand access to affordable care in our rural communities, and I will continue working to strengthen our health care workforce.

In an Energy and Commerce Subcommittee hearing this week, I urged my colleagues from both sides of the aisle to support continued funding to strengthen rural broadband across the country.

From small businesses operating online to patients using telehealth, families in rural communities across New Hampshire increasingly rely on broadband in their daily lives.

Access to reliable internet is essential for families across the country to connect and engage in the 21st-century economy.

It’s always great to hear from our state’s agricultural experts and leaders.

I was thrilled to hear directly from Granite State farmers, foresters, and industry experts about their ideas and experiences as Congress begins discussions to reauthorize the Farm Bill.

The Farm Bill is an opportunity to deliver for local producers, invest in rural communities, and strengthen food systems. I look forward to bringing the insights from this conversation to Washington.
