House Republicans just introduced a plan to address the debt ceiling — in part by cutting funding for programs that help children. Join me in telling Congress: Solutions NEVER start with hurting kids.

Have you heard about Speaker McCarthy’s new debt limit proposal? It’s devastating for children and families — across the U.S. and around the world. 

This is unacceptable, John… and we won’t stand for it. 

Here’s why 👇 

1. Parents are already struggling to find affordable, high-quality care.  This plan would make matters worse by eliminating 275,000 slots in child care and Head Start programs.
2. Families need more food assistance. But some House Republicans want to limit access to SNAP benefits — making it even harder for millions to get nutritious food.
3. Kids can’t afford to lose support. If we cut spending like this, we’ll drastically decrease lifesaving mental health services, especially in rural America.
4. Global poverty and inequality are destroying childhood.  Speaker McCarthy proposes reducing foreign humanitarian aid — which would undoubtedly cost lives. 

Please, John, send a message: We can’t cut support for kids in need.
