We hope you have had a great week! Congressman Kim began and ended his week in New Jersey meeting students, families, and local organizations all doing great work to serve New Jersey. In Washington, he had the chance to welcome some Stockton students to the Capitol.

Next Week: Congressman Kim to Hold 62nd Town Hall in Southampton

Join us next week in Southampton Township for Congressman Kim’s 62nd monthly town hall. Congressman Kim will highlight his most recent work to support military families during Month of the Military Child, share updates about legislation he introduced recently to support EMS and protect consumers from unsafe prescriptions, and his continued efforts to expand financial and healthcare support of veterans and servicemembers working and living on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

Congressman Kim and Bipartisan Group Introduce Resolution Designating April as “Month of the Military Child”

Congressman Kim introduced a bipartisan resolution to designate April as the “Month of the Military Child” which is observed each April to honor and celebrate military children and youth for their service, commitment, and sacrifice.

For the military families that work and live on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and across the world, we should salute their bravery and name April “Month of the Military Child".

Congressman Kim Celebrates Delran Students Sustainability Successes

Early this week, Congressman Kim joined the Delran Intermediate School’s Green Team to celebrate their new water filling stations, reusable water bottles, outdoor classroom and more. The D.I.S. Green Team are impressive, young leaders passionate about sustainability, recycling, and making sure we do the best job we can in taking care of our environment!

It was great to see their student advocacy in action and see what it has already achieved for their school!

Stockton University Students Speak on Their Priority Issues

Congressman Kim met with students from Stockton’s MSW program while they were visiting Washington. The students spoke about policies they are passionate about and have been researching, including supplying meals to students, de-escalation training for law enforcement, expanding family and medical leave, and more!

Just Two New Jerseyans Working to Keep Lowering Healthcare Costs!

Congressman Kim spoke with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure this week about their shared work to continue lowering healthcare costs for New Jersey and updates on the roll out of historic savings Congressman Kim helped secure last year in the Inflation Reduction Act.

The Administrator is a Willingboro native and a Willingboro High School graduate! She is making us proud as a leader for healthcare rights and affordability at CMS.

Congressman Kim Helps Lead Efforts to Support our Firefighters

This week, Congressman Kim joined colleagues to speak about their legislative priorities to ensure all firefighters have the pay, benefits, and support they deserve. From federal wildland firefighters to our stations around our district, no first responder should feel left behind by the communities they help keep safe and healthy.

Fire danger is always there, with New Jersey’s recent fires encroaching on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, and Congressman Kim is committed to delivering firefighters what they have earned for stepping up no matter the crises.

Congressman Kim Meets with National Down Syndrome Society

Congressman Kim was happy to meet with NDSS during their Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill. We are committed to continuing to support our community members with Down Syndrome through and advocate for their needs and well-being.

Congressman Kim Joins YMCA’s Annual Dinner with Local Families

Yesterday Congressman Kim was happy to join YMCA of the Pines’ annual dinner with families who take part in their after school child care programs. Congressman Kim works alongside local YMCAs to prioritize expanding summer meals through his Summer Meals REACH Act and is fighting to expand child care access, another way YMCAs support families. He looks forward to continuing this work and was glad to meet with so many families and the YMCA this week!
