And tomorrow we're marching for biodiversity
The Big One at Houses of Parliament 21-24 April

Hi John

The Big One began today, and it was BIG! Together we filled Westminster with People’s Pickets at 15 government buildings to demand change.

Whether you were on a picket, led one, or helped out from home, thank you for showing that there is something more powerful than the status quo: the space we make together for a better future.

There were also talks and workshops throughout the day - faith groups came together and held a “No Faith in Fossil Fuels” service; XR Scientists explained the latest IPCC report; there were climate science walking tours; and the first Big DIY Assembly was held, with thousands of people taking part in participatory democracy to discuss what comes next.

Tomorrow is Earth Day

The main event is “The Big One For Biodiversity March”. This is the moment when tens of thousands of us will march together, shoulder to shoulder, and be seen, heard and counted.

The march will start with a rally at 1pm on the main stage at Victoria Street. If you can, come in costume and bring nature based art to honour our natural world and endangered species. Get inspired here and learn more about biodiversity.

From 9am and throughout the day, there will be speakers, artists and performers, and more than 30 community events. We’ll come together for a “Big DIY Assembly” at 3pm. See the full programme for all the details.

See you tomorrow!

Love and rage,
Extinction Rebellion UK

PS Can’t be there in person and want to get involved? There are plenty of opportunities in the Digital Rebellion.
